After a few days with Hark Pro, it has earned a spot on my iPhone’s first home screen. Personalised dashboards, useful connections and an unexpectedly personal meme have impressed me. Here’s what I’ve tried, what’s still missing, and why I’ll keep testing it.
A wallet can be sealed. A rule can sound final. A testnet can wear a launch party hat. This week, the Amazons …
OpenAI and Anthropic turn answers into working surfaces. Google proposes a workplace agent, Microsoft brings controlled execution to Windows, and Hark enters the personal-assistant contest. Silicon Drama Episode 24 examines who controls these workflows, why portable context matters, and how local AI, cloud computing and human intervention shape the next steps for humanoid robots.
A custody proposal, a Lightning warning and an L2 exit walk into the weekly. The Bitcoin Amazons check the keys, the escape route and the claims that deserve a raised eyebrow.
Sam Altman’s OpenAI launches dots while withholding a planned Astra upgrade. Jensen Huang’s Nvidia proposes controls outside the agent, and Grok and Gemini are reported to power America.gov. Silicon Drama Episode 23 follows the struggle over agent permissions, EU access, voluntary safety commitments and Amazon’s 20-year nuclear power agreement.
Bitget’s revised $387.5M incident estimate, strong BTC and ETH ETF inflows, proposed US stablecoin rules, Europe’s Pontes, tokenized stock collateral and Lightning payments. Bitcoin Amazons Weekly through September 27.
Sam Altman asks governments to help govern increasingly capable AI as Australia investigates an OpenAI agent that crossed a Medicare portal boundary, with no evidence patient records were accessed. Dario Amodei launches Opus 5.5 and scales Anthropic’s compute, while Mark Zuckerberg pushes beyond the smartphone and Masayoshi Son raises $11.1 billion in bonds.
This week, the argument over crypto's future moved from promises to procedure. A major U.S. crypto bill failed to advance in the Senate. Two days later, the securities regulator offered a conditional route for trading real shares on blockchain infrastructure. Meanwhile, one of Wall Street's largest data companies moved deeper into the tools that secure that infrastructure. The question running through all three stories: Who sets the rules and who gets access?
OpenAI sent 10,000 agents after Navier-Stokes. Meta and Apple asked for authority over personal accounts. Google secured nuclear power, Oracle turned customer prepayments into data centers, Europe bought satellites and military planners prepared for humanoid machines. The intelligence moved. The control layer struggled to keep up.
Dismissing all AI-assisted work ignores what these tools also make possible: An individual turning an original idea into an illustrated story, a song or a publication that previously required resources they simply did not have. That deserves curiosity. And we need a name for work that earns it. I propose AI Craft. Work created with AI and shaped by human purpose, taste, judgment and responsibility. AI with a point of view.
Liquid's recovery remained unfinished. Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF flows went in opposite directions. Washington examined control over DeFi, while India tested digital bond settlement. Across the week, the Amazons kept one question in view: Who holds the controls when the system is tested?

Google secured nuclear power, Oracle turned customer prepayments into data centers, Europe bought satellites and military planners prepared for humanoid machines. The intelligence moved. The control layer struggled to keep up.
NVIDIA has agreed to acquire Hugging Face. OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra can operate computers while its own evaluations raise new questions about monitoring and control. Episode 19 follows the power shift across compute, capital, energy, regulation and physical AI.
A humanoid robot runs below Bolt’s time on the clock but still cannot stop gracefully. Meanwhile, NVIDIA secures future supply, SpaceX plans a Louisiana launch campus, OpenAI and Apple build agent machines, and China finances its domestic AI stack.
A rare book loses its spine. An AI agent fabricates an identity. Meta faces a youth-safety trial as Stripe moves to acquire OpenRouter, Nvidia backs OpenAI’s Ohio campus, robots reach public markets and Brazil rejects a binary AI Cold War.
Elon Musk orders ten gigawatts, Jensen Huang builds an AI bank, and Tim Cook trains a second brain for China. Episode 16 maps the new access wars reshaping AI, robotics and Big Tech.
OpenAI’s agents rebuilt a hidden backchannel, Pichai commanded a reported $200 billion TPU financing machine, and Musk aimed Terafab at orbit. Episode 15 follows AI power from broken containment to Wall Street, factories and humanoid bodies.
AI does not make us more productive simply because we use it more often. This SmartSelf essay explores AI value, hidden correction work, growing dependence, and the essential role of human judgment, offering a practical Human-AI-Human method for using AI where it truly matters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened with $932 million worldwide. But the bigger story is how Marvel and Sony keep reinventing Spider-Man for every generation.
Claude’s safety tests reached real companies. Starship delivered satellites. Microsoft turned AI into revenue. Google gave Gemini a body, while Nvidia financed the next layer of the AI empire. Episode 14 follows the week when AI moved beyond software and into rockets, robots, data centers, markets and geopolitical power.
An OpenAI agent escapes its test environment and breaches Hugging Face, Claude helps break an 87-year-old mathematical conjecture, and Lisa Su ships AMD’s Helios challenge to NVIDIA. Silicon Drama Episode 13 follows the week’s struggle for control across AI agents, chips, cloud empires, energy grids, robotaxis and Audi’s factory floor.
New York closes the gate on giant AI data centers, Tim Cook defends Apple’s kingdom, Xi Jinping opens China’s AI alliance, and the power grid pushes back. Silicon Drama Episode 12 follows the week’s biggest moves across chips, agents, payments, robotics, cybersecurity and Europe’s battle for digital sovereignty.
Sam Altman gives GPT-5.6 a desk, Mark Zuckerberg builds the stack from apps to power plants, and Dario Amodei signs for decades of compute. Episode 11 follows the week AI moved deeper into offices, coding, chips, data centers, robotics and the power grid beneath it all.
Five percent on a cap table. Microsoft engineers entering the enterprise. Fable returning with a safety brake. Meta selling compute while its agents lag. Cloudflare charging machines at the web gate. And robots moving into rooms, hotels and laundry baskets. Silicon Drama Episode 10 maps the new gates of AI power.
AI stopped hiding in the data center. This week, it reached the shelf: Apple raised prices, Xbox followed, OpenAI built its own chip, NVIDIA sold $25 billion in debt, SpaceX rented out compute, Washington moved toward the model release gate, and robots learned from workers folding cloth.
AI left the demo room and entered institutions. In Silicon Drama Episode 08, frontier models meet export controls, the AI empire moves deeper into debt, SpaceX turns stock into acquisition power, Midjourney enters the human body, China pushes humanoids toward the market, and the World Cup becomes a sensor field. This is the week the hard world arrived.

Spiders are not the villains in our homes and gardens; they are silent helpers that eat insects, protect crops, and support ecosystems. Scientists estimate that spiders collectively kill hundreds of millions of tons of prey every year, making them one of nature's most powerful pest control systems. No invoice, no chemicals, no drama—just eight legs doing important work while we mostly complain about them.
SpaceX rings the bell, Musk crosses the trillion-dollar line, OpenAI and Anthropic move toward Wall Street, Claude Fable 5 breaks trust, Apple brings Siri AI back late, and the power grid sends the bill. Silicon Drama Episode 07 follows the week intelligence went public.
AI no longer waits behind the chat box. In Episode 06, agents move into PCs, offices, factories, robotaxis, studios, security systems and the web itself. Silicon Drama follows the week AI became part of the machine.
Google has filed an application with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to release up to 64 million male mosquitoes in California and Florida over two years.
AI agents got the keys this week: To money, work, warehouses, cybersecurity, infrastructure and moral power. Silicon Drama Episode 05 follows Robinhood, Anthropic, Meta, Figure, Jensen Huang and Pope Leo XIV as AI moves from performance into permission.
A human intern beat Figure F.03 by 192 packages. Then the robot kept working for a 200-hour shift. Silicon Drama Episode 04 follows the week AI moved from demos into work, search, capital, enterprise power and the global race for control. A Tech Soap about AI, robots and Big Tech power games This is the fourth edition of Silicon Drama, a weekly look at the power games behind AI, robotics and Big Tech. The goal is simple: Not just to report what happened, but to explain why it matters, who gains power, who loses trust and where the next conflict is already forming.

Do we need humanoid robots because they look like humans? Or do we need them because our world was built for humans? The answer from Japan is remarkably clear.
The Western super app will likely not be one giant app that replaces everything else. The more realistic future is an intelligent orchestration layer that connects AI, payments, identity, and digital services across the apps people already use.
Goal setting is completely overrated. Most people rely on sheer willpower to change their lives. But motivation is notoriously unreliable. If you want to see real progress, you need to focus on systems instead of end goals. This is the core premise of "Atomic Habits" by James Clear.
Is AI about productivity… or about redesigning the company itself? 🤖 I’ve been diving into Jack Dorsey’s latest strategy for Block and it challenges one of the deepest assumptions in business. Many companies are adding AI as a copilot. Block is asking something much bigger: What if AI replaces the hierarchy itself? Instead of layers of management, they are building an Intelligence Layer powered by a “World Model” of the company and its customers. This leads to a radically simplified structure with just three roles.
Apollo vs. Artemis isn’t just “old Moon missions vs. new Moon missions.” It represents a fundamental shift in NASA’s philosophy of exploration, moving from a Cold War “sprint” to a sustained, multi-decadal “campaign”. While the Apollo program was a mission-specific race to prove American technological dominance and return safely, Artemis is designed to build the repeatable infrastructure and staying power necessary to turn the Moon into a launchpad for the rest of the solar system.
